I did my first Super Doubles trip this week braving the cold in the wee small hours of the morning. Here's what I got:
3 boxes of Campbell's V8 Sweet Red Pepper Soup (this stuff is super yummy!)
3 boxes of Finish Electrasol Tabs
2 boxes of Special K Original Cereal
10 boxes of Special K cereal bars
3 Marie Callendar's Homestyle Creations Meals
2 bars of Toblerone dark chocolate
2 boxes of OreIda Easy Fries
1 Endust Free furniture polish
1 Dawn Direct Foaming Detergent
3 Oikos Single Serve Greek Yogurts
Total before coupons & VIC savings: $102.22
Total after coupons & VIC savings: $5.49
Savings of $96.73 or nearly 95% savings
I split this up into three separate transactions to maximize savings thanks to the Special K promotion. In this promo, you get $5 off your order when you buy 4 Special K products. I used a total of 20 coupons that doubled per Harris Teeter's rules and 3 coupons that did not double (the Electrasol $2.50/1).

ReplyDeleteI clicked your link via Hot Coupon World. I'm in the Durham area and just got back from Harris Teeter. I spent $2.73 for 24 items and saved $57.74 in coupons. I went around 8ish this morning and some of the items were already almost gone off the shelves. I plan to go a couple more times since I got four papers worth of inserts this past Sunday. I got 4 boxes of Electrosal Tabs for free at Walgreens this week.
How do you go about doing multiple transactions? Do you do one right after the other or do you do one order and go back through the line again to do the next one?

I'm planning on going after work. I traded for a bunch of the V8 Fusion IPs, so I'm going to get as many as I can since they will be $0.50 ea.
ReplyDeleteKris- I just notify the cashier that I need to split my order up into multiple transactions. They're typically very accomodating. I have everything grouped into piles in my cart. You did a GREAT job saving today- very impressive! And your little one is adorable! How old is your baby? I have a 16 month old and she keeps me busy...and laughing!
